![]() I just posted a new drawing in the Fine Art - Portraits section. This is Grandma and Grandpa Dumas. I never knew grandpa he passed before my time. From what I have heard about him he was a quite man and did not smile much. I took the liberty of giving him a little bit of a smile. I think he was smirking a little bit down from heaven while I drew this. Grandma Dumas is a wonderful woman. She is always so thoughtful, loving and giving. She greets me with a kiss every time she sees me. Lena and I enjoy going to breakfast with her when we visit her in St George. It was a joy to draw them both!

![]() I just posted a new drawing in the Comic book section. This is the first time I have attempted to do all 3 parts of a comic book drawing, Sketching, Inking and Coloring. I took some time to figure out the best way to get it done. I have some learning to do but I like how it turned out. This is what I do in church during sacrament meeting. I have a lot of friends that like to sit by me. I have found that if I do not have something that I am sketching I will fall asleep and/or be more disruptive. So here it is. This was drawn on my iPad. I posted some new work here. I put on some mural paintings I did in both my room growing up and also for a company I used to work for call Laser Quest. The murals for Laser Quest are located in Gwinnett, GA. Sadly enough the Disney murals were located in my home that I grew up in. We had to sell that house and I have heard that since then they have been painted over. I am glad we got a few pictures of them before they got taken down! Enjoy!
Just posted a new painting of Kenadee! She is such a beautiful girl. I tried to capture her sense on wonder and youthful spirit. The sense that the world is still a place of wonder and awe. The innocence of youth but ambition to change the world is a hard thing to capture!
You can find the painting in the Portrait section. I just posted a new portrait piece I did of a dear friend of mine. Jodi has always been a joy. As I have gotten to know her over the years her spirit and happiness have always been something I admire about her. She has beautiful green eyes. In fact that is one of the first things I noticed about her and I tried to capture that youthful spirit in this piece. It was a honor to paint her. Plus I just think she is really pretty so that make it fun to paint too.
I also played with color a lot. I tried to uses colors that I would normally not use and I think it brightened it up. You can find the painting in the Portrait section. I just made a new page on Facebook for my Art. I am a little overwhelmed by how many people have commented on some of my art work. I hoped that people would like the picture of the Salt Lake Temple on Temple Square. It does touch home to a lot of people. It stands as a source of inspiration in one way or another to many people all over the world.
I had a good time painting it but it was a little of a pain. There are so many spires lines and interesting nooks and crannies it makes it very cumbersome to my silly mind. I really enjoyed the challenge but due to the response I have had from the painting I might have to do another. Well lets see how good I am at this. My name is Nik English. I like to draw and paint. I hope you enjoy my website. It is very random and a bit unfocused. I like it that way. There is a lot of different stuff on here so tell me what you think.
